WebJan 8, 2024 · The promotional series in between ranks like Silver and Gold remain the same. Players will still need to win a best three out of five series to break through to the next tier. The goal is to still have players earn their rank when it comes to leveling up at a tier level, while having the freedom to grind through the divisions. Once you're placed in a division, you'll earn LP for each match you win and lose LP for each match you lose. Decay is a thing in league of legends which causes you to lose lp over not being active for a period of time.
